“Nothing out of the ordinary” for Tangency-Stadtberührungen 2012
The British artist Trish Scott reconstructs everyday activities to get to the bottom of the atmosphere of the city. The recreation of events is normally reserved for historical events. When the artist recreates the events – precisely timed – of her first day, her encounters with people, stopping in at the café or crossing the traffic lights again during the week in October, routine actions become performance, the invisible visible.
Trish Scott, * 1980 Kent / GB, lives in Kent
Trish Scott first studied Social Sciences and then Fine Art at the Universtity of Arts in London, where she is currently working on her doctorate. Since 2006, she has been working on performance concepts, partly in collaboration with Dan Scott.
